Richard (Rick)Zawada 68, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2011. Rick was born on January 8, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Chester and Helen Zawada. After his father died in 1956, Rick, his mother and brother moved to California.He graduated from Capuchino High School in San Bruno, California,class of 1960.He joined the United States Air Force and served proudly for four years.Rick began his career at IBM Corp and retired there after 30 years.He is survived by his loving wife, Connie of 43 years,son, Steven and brother, David. Also survived by many loving family members and dear friends.He will be remembered for his love of gourmet cooking, the San Francisco 49ers, and the San Francisco Giants. Rick was also an avid bowler. 

A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held on Saturday September 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home Chapel, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville,CA. Private burial will be held with Military Honors at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon,CA.
