After
graduating from Capuchino, I worked at LivingstonÕs Department Store in the Bridal
Department as a Buyer, Fashion Coordinator and Designer. I married in 1964 and moved to Arizona
in 1967. I raised two children on
my own. As a single parent, I went
to school and became a registered nurse for 30 years and then went back to
school at age 50 and got my legal assisting certificate (33 semester
hours). Ten years later, I went to
the University of California and Pepperdine University to get various certificates
in dispute resolution. I am now
known as a peacemaker/mediator.
Also at age 50. I took all of the courses at the Bob Bondurant School of High
Performance Driving. I lapped the Phoenix
International Raceway (the worldÕs tightest oval) and I kept up with the pack,
which was a great achievement.
Shortly after that, I got a job as an aquatics instructor for the
Arthritis Foundation. I never
thought I would get a job in a swimsuit.
I
fell recently and broke a bunch of bones.
And I am now working on humility.
