Why does writing this bio feel like an essay
assignment in Miss MurtaughÕs English class? I guess
I either do it or Ron and John will do one for me! Within a week after graduating I was working. No college, no degrees and trust me that was a big
problem for me to admit for years.
I grew up and became what I always wanted to be a wife and a mother! Bob (Lowell 58) and I have been married
for 47 years and are the proud parents of Maggie and Matt and our easy birth
kids (in-law) Steve and Amy. We live on a small farm in Sebastopol with our 13
chickens and too many zucchini plants! Bob, often referred to as Mr. Green
Jeans, spends all his free time in his vegetable garden. I am most content with
my flowers and my grandchildren Dylan and Bridget.
In the fifty years since graduation I have learned a
myriad of jobs, everything from teletype operator to
1st grade teacherÕs aide to national sales rep to sheet metal worker. IÕm now
an office manager in a large printing company (not unlike a 1st grade
class...they just have longer legs!) working only three days a week. IÕve never
been bored and would not change my life for anything.
Working on the reunion with Ron has been a great
experience. Ron has utilized my best talent .. organized determination! As some of you know, I donÔt give up easily. I have really enjoyed talking to you
and have been surprised to hear your same voices from 1960 on the
telephone! We really have come a
very long way but we all hopefully find ourselves content and, with fingers
crossed, in good health.
I'm a native San Franciscan married to a native San
Franciscan. We lived in San Bruno a short time and Pacifica while Bob taught at
Terra Nova HS. I was a stay at home mom while the kids were little. We moved to
Sebastopol 38 years ago and will never move again!
Bob and I have been married for 47 years and I would
go back and do it all over again in a heartbeat. Bob is a regular tennis player and I am a rabid Giants
fan! We currently have 13 chickens
and a resident fox family.
Favorite movies of all time include Breakfast at
Tiffany's, Shindler's List, Princess Bride, Sleepless
in Seattle and too many more to list.
