ex-Class
of 1960
George lived in Millbrae from 1947 to 1958, from kindergarten thru 10th grade, at Taylor Blvd, Green Hills, and Capuchino High schools. With the closing of the San Francisco Mint, his family returned to Bethesda, MD. There, he took another crack at the 10th grade, and graduated from Walter Johnson High School in 1961. After 4-1/2 years in the Navy, he graduated from Guilford College, in Greensboro, NC, with a B.S. in Accounting.
After 2 years with a CPA firm in New Bern, NC, he relocated to the Washington area, and started his career as a Federal civil servant, serving his last 22 years with the Treasury Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. His marriage of 30 years ended in divorce in 2002, the year he retired. He has one son, Mike, of Manassas, VA.
Upon retirement, he relocated to Allen, TX (Dallas), where his interests have been sailing and his Triumph TR3 sports car. He eventually had to sell the Triumph, as he never found an RWW (richwiddawoman).
His only regret in life is that he is not someone else.
